Stretch Mark Brands
Is there anything I can do about brand new stretch marks before they get worse?
I just noticed stretch marks on the back of my legs. They're still new. I want to stop them before they get any worse. I want the most effective way of treating them.
There's really not much you can do for stretch marks.
Everybody gets them, especially during puberty when we're all growing up and out.
One of the best and often recommended "treatments" is simply to make sure your skin is as healthy as possible. Drink plenty of water so that you stay hydrated and use a Vitamin E and/or Cocoa Butter and Shea lotion every day after bathing.
This won't prevent stretch marks but it may keep them from being severe.
Also, stretchmarks will fade over time. Many of them start out noticeably red but after some time (it may be months or years) will fade to a pale "silver," for lack of a better word. And those are usually only noticeable if you know where they are (as you will, since it's your body) or if you're actively looking for them.
